DESCRIPTION

Cadran doré, aiguilles dauphine, bracelet plaqué or intégré.

OUR GUARANTEE
Very Vintage warranty

Every watch sold by Very Vintage comes with a warranty of 3 or 12 months, depending on the piece.

Before going on sale, each watch is examined, tested and approved by our partner watchmakers to make sure it runs as it should for its age and type.

This warranty covers the movement and reflects our commitment to the reliability of the watches we select.

What the warranty covers

If a genuine malfunction of the movement occurs during the warranty period, Very Vintage will:

✔️ cover the repair, once assessed by our watchmaker
✔️ keep you informed at every step

Shipping the watch to our workshop is at the customer’s expense; the repair and the shipping back to you are covered by Very Vintage.

Warranty limitations & conditions

The warranty does not apply when damage results from:

  • Contact with water or high humidity
  • Drops, knocks, impacts or excessive vibration
  • Magnetization
  • Normal wear over time (strap, crystal, pushers, crown, etc.)
  • Battery replacement on quartz watches
  • The watch being opened or worked on by a third party, even a professional
  • Improper or inappropriate use
Accuracy & tolerance

The accuracy of a vintage watch naturally varies depending on:

  • Its caliber
  • Its construction
  • Its year of manufacture

During the watchmaker’s inspection, we set for each watch an accuracy tolerance that is acceptable and consistent with its era.

A request to correct a variation considered normal or acceptable for this model therefore cannot be covered by the warranty.

QUALITY COMMITMENT

At Very Vintage, every watch goes through a thorough inspection as soon as it arrives: overall operation, accuracy, amplitude (for mechanical watches), condition of the movement, wear of components, and a cosmetic check.

Depending on the condition in which we receive the watch, we apply one of our two levels of preparation, so we can offer excellent value while respecting the integrity of vintage pieces:

1. Fully Serviced

The watch receives a complete service by our watchmaker:

• Full disassembly
• Cleaning and oiling of the movement
• Replacement of parts if needed
• Regulation for accuracy
• Final check over several days

This level offers the highest reliability. It is generally applied to high-end watches or those intended for heavy daily wear. It comes with a 12-month warranty on the movement.

2. Tested & Checked

The watch is tested over several days to confirm that it runs properly, but without any internal work.

This level is applied when the movement is clean, stable and consistent with the value of the piece, particularly for watches under €500, to keep the price attractive. It comes with a 3-month warranty on the movement.

Why doesn’t every watch get a full service?

Because a full service is a significant cost (between €150 and €350 depending on the model).

On a watch sold for €200 to €300, that cost would nearly double the final price, which goes against our philosophy: making vintage accessible, reliable and honestly prepared.

We prefer to offer a fair price and clearly state the level of preparation applied.

Full service or additional work (optional)

If you would like the watch fully restored, we offer the following services on request:

Mechanical services
  • Full service
  • Parts replacement
  • High-precision regulation
  • Crystal replacement
  • Movement restoration
Cosmetic services
  • Polishing of the case and/or bracelet
  • Reluming the hands
  • Partial or full cosmetic restoration

Contact us before buying or right after placing your order, and we will send you a personalized quote.

Our commitment

Whether you buy a watch for €200 or €2,000, you always get:

• A product that has been tested, checked and matches its description
• Full transparency about its condition and preparation
• Responsive, passionate customer service
• The option to improve the watch to suit your needs

14-day money-back guarantee (EU deliveries)

FAQ

Are your watches authentic?

Each watch we offer is meticulously examined by a professional watchmaker specializing in vintage watches.

We systematically check the consistency of the movement, markings, references, components… and pay particular attention to "redial" (repainted dials), which were extremely common in the 50s–60s, especially at Omega (for your information, nearly 50% of Omega watches from this period have been repainted: we therefore take great care never to offer these altered versions).

We do not provide a physical certificate of authenticity, as it would have no legal value (we are not a watchmaking company).

On the other hand, each watch is sold with total transparency regarding its condition, operation, and level of originality.

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes.

All our watches come with a 3- or 12-month warranty, depending on the level of preparation they received before going on sale.

  • 12 months: watch fully serviced by a watchmaker
  • 3 months: watch tested and checked (“Tested & Checked” level)

The warranty period is stated on each product page.

If a problem is covered by the warranty, just contact us: we will arrange the repair with our partner watchmaker.

Are there any taxes or customs fees?

For shipments within the European Union , there are no customs fees , since all orders are shipped from the Paris region (France) .
For international shipments , certain taxes may apply (local VAT, customs duties or import fees).

Any such costs are the responsibility of the buyer , in accordance with the regulations of the destination country.

We recommend that customers outside the EU check with their local customs service for any potential costs associated with importing.
You will find more details in our Shipping Policy .

Do you accept returns?

Yes, for orders delivered within the European Union. You have 14 days from receipt to request a refund or store credit. After that period, we unfortunately won’t be able to offer one.

For orders delivered outside the European Union, all sales are final: no returns for a change of mind. The Very Vintage warranty and after-sales service of course apply wherever you are.

The return conditions are simple:

  • The watch must be sent back in its original condition, unworn, with all accessories.
  • Return shipping costs and liability are the customer’s responsibility.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

To make a return, simply contact us at the address given in your order confirmation.
We handle requests quickly and always do our best to make sure your experience is a good one.

An item arrived damaged – what should I do?

We are sorry your watch arrived damaged.

Please let us know within 7 days of delivery through our Contact page, with photos of the parcel (including the packaging) and of the watch.

We will then open a claim with the carrier and get back to you with a solution: repair, replacement or refund, depending on the case.
